This French Revival home is a small, quaint cottage with an abundance of character and charm. However, the dark interior and lack of functionality did not work well for an active family of four. We completed a full remodel plus an addition to create a dream home. The kitchen was relocated from the right side of the house to the left to be more central to the living spaces. We brought in elements like inset cabinetry, hand-painted tiles and hand forged railings to enhance the home's original beauty. Throughout the house, calming colors and layered textures were used to give each room a cozy, relaxed feel. The result is a peaceful, comfy and cheerful interior that reflects our clients' wonderfully warm personalities.

An interior remodel of this Tudor is now perfectly crafted for this family of two. Moving the kitchen and butler’s pantry to the other side of the house allowed the homeowner to finally have enough space for a master suite complete with a walk-in closet and large bathroom. It was essential to the client that we select materials that were simpatico with the history of the home. To achieve this, we brought in elements like inset cabinetry, an apron front sink, vintage-inspired appliances, and glass front wall cabinets. What resulted was a refreshing, bright and modernized home that is current, but also true to its historic nature.

This home is an English inspired, new construction home located in the heart of Decatur, GA. Much consideration was given to the layout and function of the house, especially the kitchen which is open to the main staircase, central hall, and family room. To keep the kitchen from looking too utilitarian, the appliances like the dishwasher and refrigerator were seamlessly integrated with the cabinetry. Unique details like shiplap, walnut countertops, custom railings, and cove crown were added to create interest and character. Classic materials were used that helped give the house a timeless feel. The home's aesthetic now reflects a classic, neutral and sophisticated feel.

The term remodel does not begin to justify the amount of work that was done on this Craftsman home for a family of four. The entire home, both interior as well as exterior, was given a complete face-lift. Throughout the construction process, the idea behind every design aspect was to create the illusion that it was always there. Elements like quarter sawn oak flooring, uniquely shaped mantles, and custom built-ins were added to give the house depth and history. Wall treatments were added to some of the rooms to create texture and warmth. This house was built to be a home to a very close-knit family who loves to play board games and craft together. In the end, we were able to craft a warm, inviting and yet family-friendly home that our clients will enjoy for years to come.

A partial remodel brought this 1982 Cape Cod out of the past and into the present day. Items like parquet flooring, louvered sliding doors, yellow carpet, and cultured marble were replaced with classic white subway tile, white oak flooring, and Calcutta marble. The exterior also received a much-needed upgrade. The dark and drab red brick was painted a crisp white accented by a rich gray trim. A new front door and porch were added to create a welcoming entry, and a custom wooden deck was built to give the small backyard a place to entertain. Simplistic, updated and playful is now what defines this home for a family of three.
